For Beauty-holics like us here at Yellow Box Beauty, we find our bathrooms turned into mixing labs on a daily basis.  We may mix two nail colors to find the perfect one, or layer three blushes on top of each other for just the right glow, and we’re always layering lipsticks and glosses to mix up the consummate pout.  So, finding out there is an actual brand built around mixing and matching, has undoubtedly saved us $$$ at the therapists’ office trying to figure out if we’re a strange bunch of mad scientists, or just normal beauty junkies as originally suspected!

Why We Love It

It’s fun, it’s flirty, and as we said, it’s made for mixing and matching!  It’s libations for lips, what’s not to love?  Seriously, it’s great to see a company that is very serious about makeup but who also understands that makeup can be fun and light at the same time.   We have spent countless hours trying on endless combos from the Liptini bar and it’s simply intoxicating (pun intended).  If someone doesn’t yell last call soon, we may have a lip hangover tomorrow (not joking). 

 

Favorite Cocktail of the moment:  Hmmm so many to choose from. 

Favorite pre-made cocktails: Caramel Kiss (soft, sexy and warm) and Currantini (the ultimate high gloss bold red lip). 

 

Favorite home-made concoctions:  For warm tones try one part Irish Crème, one part Spiced Rum Mixer, and finish with a touch of Champagne Topper Gloss or for extra glam, try the same combo but finish with Spritzer.  Cooler tones try one part Pink Poodle and top with Pink Ice or Sugar Rim Toppers for day (try adding Cherry Cola mixer to take this look from day to night).
