Yellow Box Beauty is proud to announce the November Beauty Spotlight Brand: Thi Cosmetics!

Besame Cosmetics

She walked into the room.  Her makeup:  flawless.  Her hair:  impeccable.    She was wearing a gorgeous cream DVF wrap dress, Mikimoto pearls and a pair of camel colored Mary Jane Manolos and asked, “Tea anyone?  Perhaps a crumpet or a mini cucumber sandwich?”   I asked her what her secret was, and she replied simply, “Thi”.

thiAbout the Brand:  The line was created by makeup artist Taylor Pham who was frustrated by the lack of high quality beauty products available for Asian women.  Her first product was the “lush” lashes.  Now a best seller, the lashes come as individuals instead of a whole strip, are made of human hair and have a clear binding that makes them look just like your own when applied. What started out as a niche brand has developed into a line of gorgeous products including mouth watering glosses and luxurious eye shadows that can be worn by women of many colors.

Why We Love It:  Beautiful, sophisticated, sexy, and fresh, Thi Cosmetics (pronounced tea and literally meaning “lady” in Vietnamese) is sure to impress.  While this line was originally created specifically for Asian women, it truly is great for almost everyone.  The packaging is pretty and sophisticated, yet small enough to fit in any handbag.  The colors can be sweet and subtle, or sexy and sultry.  Everything is made from high quality ingredients that translate into remarkable texture.  Every time we put Thi Cosmetics on, we walk out the door feeling like a beautiful lady and get the compliments to back that up.

Current Obsessions:  While the lashes are great, we can’t stop obsessing over Thi lip gloss in Lan, eye shadow in Kai, and cream shadow in Soy.  The coral hued Lan lip gloss, now a permanent fixture in our bag, goes on sheer and somehow looks gorgeous on everyone.  Kai eye shadow is a velvety charcoal that creates an amazing eye just smoky enough and won’t leave you looking like a chimney sweep.  Lastly, there’s the cream shadow in Soy, a light golden hue that’s amazing when used alone as an eye shadow or on cheeks and brow bones as a highlighter.

Beauty Tip – How To Apply False Lashes: First apply a light coat of mascara – this will help the fakies stay on!  Second, apply a small drop of glue to the back of your hand and wait until it becomes tacky (about 30 seconds).  Third, use tweezers to pick up and apply the lashes, placing them in between your real ones using light pressure and holding until they set.  Fourth and final step, once all the lashes are on, place another coat of mascara over all the lashes for va va va voom effect!

Free Gift from Thi:  As a special bonus for the holidays, Thi Cosmetics is offering a beautiful gift set that includes a Lip Gloss in Kalea, Eye Shadow in Kai, and blush in Aiko.  The set valued at over $50 is available for a limited time with any $100 purchase at www.thicosmetics.com.
